The Pear Tree

As at 30/10/2023, The Pear Tree Inn (trading as the Pear and Olive) was accepted again by South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) in accordance with Section 88(1) of the Localism Act 2011.

As the Pear Tree is now (November 2023) for sale, the conditions of the ACV mean that community groups now have until 6th December 2023 to write to SCDC and ask to be treated as a potential bidder in relation to the asset. Starting from the date on which the local authority receives this notification, the group would then have a 6 month period in which to raise funds.
